Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy for Adults in Vancouver

Therapy should help you understand how your mind works—not ask you to hide it. I provide respectful, evidence-informed therapy for adults navigating ADHD, autistic traits, OCD, anxiety, burnout, emotional regulation and relationship difficulties.

SUPPORT THAT FITS THE PERSON
Neurodiversity-affirming therapy recognizes that differences in attention, sensory processing, communication and executive functioning are part of a person’s lived experience. The goal is not to make someone appear “more typical.” We work together to reduce distress, build workable strategies and make daily life more sustainable.

Depending on your needs, therapy may draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), DBT-informed skills, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD. Treatment is adapted collaboratively rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all program.

AREAS WE MAY WORK ON
• Task initiation, planning and follow-through
• Overwhelm, burnout and emotional regulation
• Intrusive thoughts, compulsions and uncertainty
• Masking, self-understanding and late-recognized neurodivergence
• Communication, intimacy and relationship patterns
• Practical accommodations and sustainable routines

SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT
I provide adult ADHD assessment and focused screening for ADHD, OCD and autism-related traits. Autism screening is not a comprehensive autism diagnostic assessment and does not provide a formal autism diagnosis or written diagnostic report.

A CLEAR STARTING POINT
If you are unsure whether therapy, screening or a full ADHD assessment is the best place to begin, book an appointment and we can clarify the most appropriate next step.
